Currently, Pratt is looking to hire production workers to operate paper machine equipment in a fast-paced 24/7 operation with four shifts. Candidates should have at least a two-year degree of college or technical school and be able to understand complex procedural and process designs. They also need to be able to read gauges, tape measures and process flow diagrams.
Paper mill operational technicians must pass WorkKeys testing from WorkOne that includes applied math. On the job, they are responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining paper-making equipment, as well as doing any troubleshooting that’s necessary.
The work entails standing, being able to lift more than 50 pounds, using hand tools and functioning in extreme temperatures, as well as being aware of potential hazards.
