Serving Qualifications:

Cook Qualifications are dependent on the level, but generally:
–Two to three years of experience with increasing responsibility in a high-volume restaurant kitchen.
–Experience in all stations of a restaurant kitchen, as well as safe operation of various kitchen equipment.
–Proficient culinary knife skills.
–Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, while constantly on your feet.
–Ability to regularly lift and carry 50lbs.
–A proficiency in spoken and written Spanish preferred.

Interviews are for the following positions:

Maintenance Technician (Day Shift 6 AM — 6 PM)
The Maintenance Technician will build, service, overhaul, modify and perform preventative maintenance work on all equipment in the production facility. All open positions will have a strong focus on mechanical understanding including pneumatics, hydraulics, etc. and electrical skills including installing and repairing AC/DC motors and variable frequency drives, PLC’s, etc. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of prior work experience in a manufacturing maintenance position required, with PLC (AB) knowledge strongly preferred.

Machine Technician (Night Shift 6 PM — 6 AM) & Machine Operator (Day Shift 6 AM — 6 PM)
The Machine Technician and Machine Operator roles will perform startup, shutdown, material changeovers, and maintain machine efficiency during operation for assigned machines and conveyor systems with minimal supervision. The Machine Technician role requires 5+ years of experience including practical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems and programmable controls. Previous experience with machine maintenance a plus. The Machine Operator position requires 3+ years of prior work experience in a machine operator position. Previous experience driving forklifts equipment preferred.

Forklift Operator (Day Shift & Night Shift)
The forklift operator loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device and accurately weighs containers, labels correctly, and stores in the proper location. This position requires 2+ years of work experience as a forklift driver/operator, previous experience in a high speed environment a plus.

IT Paid Training Opportunity

MicroTrain, through the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, has been awarded a National Emergency Grant (NEG) grant to administer a program to help get unemployed residents of Cook County back to work. They are actively seeking applicants for the fourth round of this program!

The program combines certification training and a paid internship to assist individuals who are close to exhausting unemployment benefits with obtaining industry relevant IT training, certifications and work experience. The program consists of an 8 week training period, followed by 11 weeks of paid work experience where clients work at a direct hire company in an IT helpdesk position.
